At Staff Boom, we are committed to recognizing and valuing the exceptional contributions of our team members. Our Quarterly Employee Spotlight series is dedicated to highlighting outstanding talent and celebrating their achievements. This quarter, we are pleased to focus on Kenny Dang and his remarkable accomplishments. Please join us in congratulating him!
Before joining Staff Boom, Kenny gained diverse experience across various industries, including Marketing, Sales, and Restaurant Management. Throughout these roles, he consistently worked in customer service positions, which helped him refine and perfect the skills essential for building strong relationships with partners and clients. His adaptability and broad professional background bring a unique perspective to his current role.
We asked Kenny’s direct supervisor for feedback on his performance, and the praise was echoed throughout the organization. Eberardo Treto, US Operations Supervisor, shared this:
“Kenny has quickly become a valuable asset to our Operations Associate team. Since joining, He has consistently demonstrated an exemplary work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence that sets a new standard.
He has built strong, meaningful relationships with our partners and internal teams relatively quickly, an achievement that speaks volumes about his interpersonal skills, character, and leadership potential. His ability to confidently navigate challenges and turn obstacles into opportunities has been impressive.
Kenny’s focus, drive, and solution-oriented mindset are inspiring and instrumental in moving our team forward. I’m excited to see how he continues to grow in his role and beyond, and I’m confident that his impact will only continue to grow.”
To learn more about Kenny, we asked him a few questions about himself and his experience in the outsourcing industry.
Q: What is your favorite part of working at our company?
A: My favorite part about working at Staff Boom would be the people I work alongside. I appreciate how open and friendly everyone is. I like the friendly camaraderie when we have competitions in the office and how we can joke with each other but also get serious when we have work to get done. If I ever need anything, I can always turn to my fellow Operations Associates or even my supervisor. It’s really a great environment to be in since I can always rely on my team if I need help or even just a good laugh.
Q: Tell us something about your professional development journey.
A: My professional development journey is definitely very different. I have worked in many different industries throughout my professional career in positions like Marketing, Human Resources and more. Although I have been in many different business environments, Staff Boom has provided me with newfound knowledge and great experience that I am grateful for.
Q: What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?
A: The best trip I’ve ever been on would probably be my trip to Asia last year. I had a wedding for a family member in Vietnam, but while we were there, I got to go to different countries in Asia like Thailand and Taiwan. It was nice being back in Vietnam since the last time I visited was over 10 years ago. I enjoyed being immersed in the different culture that my parents grew up in. I got to spend time with family I haven’t seen in a while, eat good food every day and explore new places I had never been before.
Q: Describe some of the challenges you have faced at this company. How did you overcome them?
A: Juggling many different accounts that have a lot of movement happening would be the biggest challenge I’ve faced at this company. I’m very hands-on with my accounts so it becomes difficult going from one account to another when I haven’t finished everything I wanted to. I overcame these challenges by managing my time and prioritizing what I need to get done versus what can wait or be handled by my team or Operations Lead.
Q: What techniques help you stay organized and productive?
A: I stay organized and productive at work by making sure I know what is needed of me every day. It can get hard when you come into work and are pulled in five different directions but you still have a lot you need to do. At the end of the day, I make sure to prepare my To-Do list for the next day, so I am ready when I come to work in the morning. If I really need to focus, I will put on headphones, play some music and tune everything out while I get my work done.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: Work-life balance is important to me, so I try to enjoy my time outside of work. I like to go out with friends or family to try new restaurants, grab a quick drink, play pickleball or volleyball or even go to a concert. If I’m alone, I’ll usually be working out, walking my dogs, reading a book or binging a show/movie. I do try to travel when I get the chance but it’s easier said than done. I wouldn’t mind staying home and sleeping more, but I do try to make the most with my time outside of work.
Congratulations Kenny for your dedication and impact on the company’s success. Your efforts are deeply valued, and we look forward to seeing all that you will achieve in the future!
