At Staff Boom, we are committed to recognizing and valuing the exceptional contributions of our team members. Our Quarterly Employee Spotlight series is dedicated to highlighting outstanding talent and celebrating their achievements. This quarter, we are pleased to focus on Kelly Wade and her remarkable accomplishments. Please join us in congratulating her!
Before joining Staff Boom, Kelly had a successful career in customer service and as a hair stylist, a role she still maintains on weekends. Initially unfamiliar with outsourcing and Filipino culture, she quickly embraced both and has loved working with the team, praising their kindness and dedication. Due to her hard work, Kelly was promoted from Account Executive to Business Development Manager last November, where she now collaborates with Operations and Sales to drive growth and meet partners’ needs.
When she is not working, Kelly enjoy spending time with her family and friends. Going to church on Saturday nights. She recently got a Peloton and she’s obsessed with it. Kelly also enjoys karaoke and checking out local dive bars when she can.
We reached out to Kelly’s direct supervisor for feedback on her performance, and the positive response was universally shared across the organization. Joe Overley, Chief Revenue Officer, had this to say:
“Kelly possesses an unwavering desire and commitment to succeed and excel in her role. Kelly continues to bring new ideas, strategies, and structure to the sales team to improve the team as well as operations. Kelly has played a large role in the training, growth, and development of the sales team through her efforts focused on development through collaborating with her team. Kelly’s contribution to the team is invaluable and very much appreciated.”
To get to know more about Kelly, we asked her some questions about herself and her time in the outsourcing industry.
Q: What’s your favorite memory from working at the company?
A: To be honest, in the five years working here I have a lot of good memories. I would have to say that what I will always remember and smile about when I think about Staff Boom is the people that work here. I am so blessed by the friendships that I have made, and the time spent with coworkers. This includes time spent with co-workers in office, at work events and conventions, and just the day to day. It is nice to have people who feel like family and can lighten the workload stress.
Q: What does your job entail?
A: I moved from Account Executive and bringing in new business to Business Development Manager back in November of last year. In this role I have been able to both service our existing partners and help strengthen our client relationships. I value working closely with both our Operations and Sales teams in order to understand our partners needs and facilitate with continued growth.
Q: Describe some of the challenges you have faced at this company. How did you overcome them?
A: Some challenges that I have faced in the company have been accounts that don’t yet see the value in the outsourcing services that we provide. We overcome those challenges and the unknown by making them feel connected and pushing them to step out of their comfort zone to send over more work to their team. Again, understanding our partners and their needs is what I pride myself in and is how I believe we overcome many obstacles that we face on accounts that haven’t quite adopted our methods.
Q: Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
A: A professional success story that I am proud of is my work ethic and my hard working mentality. I have always worked two jobs or worked and put myself through school in order to get to where I am today. I have always strived to do my best and work my butt off to ensure that I was self-sufficient. I force myself out of my comfort zone when it comes to work to stay relevant and continue to grow.
Q: What is something that you are proud of about yourself?
A: The thing that I am most proud of is being a mom. I truly do not know where I would be in this life if it wasn’t for my daughter. She is my top priority and watching her grow has been the biggest blessing in my life!!! I would have had at least 3 kids, but life had other plans for me, so I cherish my daughter and am so proud of her and the young lady that she is becoming.
Q: Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.
A: Something about me that most people don’t know about me wow this was a hard one for me since I feel I am pretty open and talk too much LOL. I guess it would be that I have a stepdaughter. Her name is Rio, and she is 28 years old and she currently lives in Houston Texas. Or that I am a huge football fan. Go SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Q: What would your perfect weekend look like?
A: My perfect weekend would be spent with my family Husband, daughter, and my dogs. I usually like a mix of an outing and then a day to relax. Maybe a day spent at the beach on Saturday followed by a lazy Sunday watching football all day and barbecuing on Sunday. Or at the soccer fields watching my daughter play.
Congratulations, Kelly! Your dedication and contributions are highly valued. We extend our sincere thanks for your impact on our company’s growth and success. We look forward to continued success and collaboration with you in the future.
