At Staff Boom, we are committed to recognizing and valuing the exceptional contributions of our team members. Our Quarterly Employee Spotlight series is dedicated to highlighting outstanding talent and celebrating their achievements. This quarter, we are pleased to focus on Angelina Trujillo and her remarkable accomplishments. Please join us in congratulating her!
Angelina Trujillo has served as a Marketing Coordinator at Staff Boom since 2023. With a solid foundation in marketing management gained from the hospitality industry, Angelina made a significant impact at her previous company before joining us. Her passion for marketing, extensive industry experience, and love for Disney brings a unique and creative perspective to her role. Angelina excels in promoting the company and bringing innovative ideas to fruition. Her enthusiasm and professionalism make her a valued member of our team.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Angelina enjoys spending time at Disneyland with her son, exploring new restaurants, and relaxing at the beach. These activities reflect her vibrant personality and zest for life.
We reached out to Angelina’s supervisor for feedback on her performance, and the positive response was universally shared across the organization. Juan Cruz, Vice President of Marketing and Development, had this to say:
“Angelina’s passion for her job is evident in everything she does. Her friendly demeanor and enthusiasm have made her an integral part of our team. Despite being with us for a relatively short time, she has taken on a significant amount of responsibility, contributing to numerous projects. Often, her work is behind the scenes, but her influence is felt everywhere—from our trade show booths to the marketing materials we use daily. Angelina’s dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. I am excited to witness her continued professional growth and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for her invaluable contributions to Staff Boom.”
To get to know more about Angelina, we asked her some questions about herself and her time in the outsourcing industry world:
Q: What do you love most about your job?
A: There are a lot of things I love about my job, so it’s hard for me to say just one. I really enjoy the ability I have to be creative! Thinking of new and different things for the company and watching them come to life is something that really brings me joy to this position. A perfect example is that new booth I got to work on for tradeshows, to see that come to life as just an image I saw in my mind was beyond amazing for me. Which is also tied to my team that is equally amazing and I love working with because they help me with all of it. Another would be that I don’t really do the same thing every week, since I’m always working on different projects it keeps my role exciting for me. Lastly, I’d have to say I really love that I get to work on, what I like to call, the fun stuff. I get to plan things for the company such as happy hours, parties and lunches and I really like the planning component of it all. It also makes me happy knowing that I get to help the company give back to our team. I always hope to do my best at the things I do, but a little extra when it comes to the staff here since I’m super appreciative of everyone at the company. I always find it rewarding when people come to me after and tell me that they had a good time or give me a simple “thank you”.
Q: Tell us something about your professional development journey.
A: I came from hospitality and worked in it for years while going through school for Business Marketing at Cal State LA. I then transitioned to doing marketing in hospitality which was fun because I got to incorporate my firsthand experiences into my work. I ultimately came to Staff Boom, where I’ve been challenged in a very good way and have gotten to grow in my work. I’ve done things here that I’ve never done before, like magazine ads and tradeshows, that I’ve grown to enjoy doing and it has really pushed me to become more creative and think in different ways.
Q: What technique help you stay organized and productive?
A: I am a little outdated in a sense that I like calendars and planners, if it’s not written in my planner then I don’t know about it. I rarely put things into my phone calendar and write down and I also utilize the calendar on outlook. I also color code things to make it easier for me to know when there’s a deadline, show, or registration coming up. It helps me to plan ahead for the coming weeks and prioritize what I need to work on. I also use a lot of lists so that I know what I need to get done in the day and cross things out as I go. The more reminders I have, the better!
Q: What’s something you do outside of work that would surprise your co-workers?
A: I don’t think it would come as a huge surprise, but outside of work I travel a lot with my family. I’m very fortunate to have a big family that loves to travel, and it makes the memories even better spending time with them. I’m also a Disney adult, I have a pass and go with my son, cousin, and friends a few times a month. Disney is a happy place of mine, I don’t have to get on rides, I can just sit, and people watch or grab some food.
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without and why?
A: I can’t live without my family, hands down. My family is everything to me, and a life without them, especially my son, isn’t a life worth living to me. When I need someone to talk to, to share the good or the bad, I can always turn to someone in my family. They’re very supportive and always in my corner, I am beyond blessed to have them.
Q: What would your perfect weekend look like?
A: My perfect weekend would be spent at my aunt’s condo on the beach in Ensenada. I consider those my mini eating vacations because all we do is eat, drink, and enjoy each other’s company. We can have a bonfire in the patio and list to the waves crash or drive to the wineries for a good dinner and wine or we can go to the taco stand and get some delicious fish tacos at my favorite spot. My family, food and, the beach all in one, is a recipe for a perfect weekend.
Congratulations, Angelina! Your dedication and contributions are highly valued. We extend our sincere thanks for your impact on our company’s growth and success. We look forward to continued success and collaboration with you in the future.
